Student Team Receives Award for Research Excellence
The Gusto Lab is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Michaela Field, Meghan Gallagher, Faith Murray, and Sophie Tremblay, master’s students at McGill University.
Co-supervised by Frédérique Poncet and Aliki Thomas, the team conducted the research project entitled “From Evidence to Practice: A Rapid Review and Qualitative Exploration of Assistive Technology for Meal Preparation in Neurorehabilitation.”
The project explored how assistive technologies can support meal preparation among individuals undergoing neurorehabilitation, while helping to bridge the gap between research evidence and clinical practice.
The students were recognized at McGill University’s Master’s Research Project Awards, where they received First Place in recognition of the overall excellence of their project, as well as their engagement, initiative, and commitment throughout the research process.
This distinction highlights not only the quality of their work, but also their professionalism, collaboration, and dedication to advancing rehabilitation practice.
