During the 23rd Symposium on Visual Impairment and Rehabilitation, held at the Université de Montréal, Justine and Maxime were awarded the Émile‑Ouellet Scholarship in Optometry ($450) for the outstanding quality of their scientific poster titled “Assessment of Culinary Skills in Individuals with Visual Impairment.”
Their presentation focused on validating an initial ecological assessment tool for culinary tasks, specifically designed for individuals living with visual impairment. This innovative project aims to better understand the challenges these individuals face in the kitchen, improve the quality of interventions offered to them, and support the development of more adapted practices.
Congratulations to Justine and Maxime for their exemplary work, which highlights an approach centered on autonomy and inclusion.
